Dark Edifice #5 Released!
The mid year edition of Dark Edifice Magazine is rolling off the (virtual) presses from today. Interestingly, the release of this issue comes almost exactly a year from when I first launched Dark Edifice in 2012 — so that makes issue #5 a special anniversary edition.
It’s funny to think that just 12 months ago, running my own literary magazine was just a silly idea that popped into my head during a creative writing class. I never expected it to do so well (to the point where I had to hire a team of editors just to keep up with the dozen or so submissions that come every week) and there are many talented writers whom I’d never have known if it hadn’t. It’s not an easy task, putting each issue together, and in typical fashion, I usually manage to miss the deadline by a day or two (this time’s no exception), but there are a lot of great writers out there who need to be read, and it’s my hope that Dark Edifice helped that to happen.
So head on over to the website and grab a free PDF copy. This issue is filled with some great stories (and a chilling bit of verse or two) that should keep you busy for a night or two. Each and every one of them managed to engage me in some way — chances are good that they’ll grab you, too.
Dark Edifice publishes well written horror, dark fantasy and science fiction. If you’ve got some stuff you reckon I’d like to read, check out the submission guidelines.
